Child Safeguarding
Draft policy statement for initial launch. Not legal advice.
Our commitment
We take child safeguarding seriously. Our goal is to provide a learning environment that is appropriate for children and supportive for parents/guardians.
How the Service is designed
- Child accounts are intended to be created and managed by a parent or guardian.
- We aim to minimise the personal data we collect from children and focus on learning features (progress, quizzes, worksheets).
- We do not provide open public profiles or public chat by default.
Reporting concerns
If you see something worrying, or you have a safeguarding concern, please report it using the in-app “Report” button. Include enough detail for us to investigate, but avoid sharing unnecessary personal information.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services first.
Approach to harmful content
If we become aware of content or behaviour that may put a child at risk, we may restrict access, remove content, or take other steps we consider appropriate to protect users and comply with the law.
Parents and guardians
- Encourage children not to share personal details in free-text fields.
- Use a shared device safely (log out, manage saved browser data).
- Review child settings and learning activity periodically.
